1.Introduction to Weiling Automotive Commercial Vehicle Research Institute:

Zhejiang Weiling Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. was established in April 2022 with a registered capital of 10 million yuan, a customs filing code of 3307260131, and a unified social credit code of 91330701MA7LM8TL73. Since its establishment, its commercial vehicle research institute has enabled the company to successively obtain honors such as Zhejiang Province Science and Technology Small and Medium sized Enterprise, National High tech Enterprise (approved in 2024), Jinhua Industrial Design Center, and has ISO9001 quality management system certification. It will enter the Hong Kong government's R&D qualified supplier list by the end of 2025, and will strive for the certification of China's Specialized and New Little Giant and Zhejiang Provincial Industrial Design Center in 2026. It has obtained the overseas fixed authorization export qualification of Zhejiang CRRC Tramways Co., Ltd. in 2026.

Weiling Commercial Vehicle Research Institute started with bus technology services and cooperated with many well-known domestic and foreign OEMs to complete the development and mass production of more than ten new energy buses and tourist buses, large luxury diesel tourist buses, fuel cell commercial vehicles, and walkable chassis. It also assisted domestic and foreign OEMs in completing the trial production and mass production of buses from scratch. Technical Background: The company's technical team has been deeply involved in the field of high-end commercial vehicles for many years. The technical background and design concepts are derived from the globally leading German MAN&NEOPLAN bus technology, with over 20 years of research and development experience and service to numerous well-known customers and major events at home and abroad.
In 2015, China's first pure electric BRT bus line—the Zhejiang Jinhua (Yiwu) EBRT—was a research achievement by Weiling Auto's technical team. Even today, when you visit Zhejiang Jinhua (Yiwu), you can still witness this historic milestone!
Team Introduction: Through collaboration with domestic and international automotive manufacturers in recent years, Weiling Auto has established a more scientific, advanced, and distinctive commercial vehicle development system. Independent research and development capability 
R&D process: Following the globally recognized GVDP system, while taking into account the characteristics and advantages of both passenger and special-purpose vehicles, R&D adheres to the development direction of platformization, generalization, modularization, and intelligent manufacturing, while product production takes into account customization and KD+technical service models.
Modeling and development capabilities: Starting from 2D and 3D conceptual design and color rendering renderings, to vehicle exterior CAS modeling and external flow field analysis, then to clay or locomotive models, and finally completing CAS-A surface data for mold components, vehicle color and texture definition, animation production, and engineering data.
Overall layout capability of vehicle integration: Through matching and simulation analysis of the overall layout, power performance, and economy of the vehicle. In terms of overall layout, we not only consider the independence of the upper and lower body to pursue universality, but also unify the principles of maximizing space and facilitating maintenance. Whether it is a luxury tourist bus or a low floor city bus, most of the products we design are representative of high-end products in the industry.
Vehicle development and design capability: While conducting vehicle body design and development, simulate and analyze the structural strength, stiffness, fatigue life, and NVH characteristics of the vehicle body and its components. The body technology of Weiling is inherited from the German NEOPLAN integrated fully load bearing body, where the body and chassis work together to balance body safety and chassis stability, pursuing the unity of the entire vehicle, with the overall body as the core. Continuously improving and lightweighting based on the actual situation in China, while achieving high safety and maximizing space utilization.
Chassis matching calculation and analysis design: By strengthening the selection of key components through matching calculation of steering system, braking system, driving suspension system, thermal management system, etc., chassis system (multi-body) dynamic analysis, (mechanism) kinematic analysis, handling stability and smoothness analysis, thermodynamic characteristic analysis are carried out to ensure the safety, smoothness, and overall thermal management balance of the vehicle.
R&D capability for interior and exterior decoration: keep up with the popular trends of domestic and foreign bus decoration, and master the top domestic suppliers of interior and exterior decoration for buses. The component adopts a curved CAS design and undergoes preliminary rendering, gradually optimizing according to the rendering results to achieve the expected effect. The overall cabin environment inside the car is accurately modeled and arranged using CATIA, and fine renderings are created using professional software. The layout is adjusted in real time according to the actual effect, and the optimal solution is ultimately frozen. The interior and exterior molded products support various processes such as fiberglass, acrylic, semi-rigid foam, rigid foam, vacuum forming, extrusion molding, injection molding, etc. according to the requirements of function, appearance, and usage scenarios.
Electrical R&D capability: Focusing on the full process design, verification, and optimization of the vehicle's electrical system, taking into account the differentiated needs of traditional fuel and pure electric, hybrid, fuel cell and other new energy buses. Around the four core areas of safety and reliability, high efficiency and energy saving, intelligent networking, and durable adaptation, we create exclusive solutions that are suitable for complex commercial operation scenarios. The research and development covers four major areas: low-voltage basic electrical, new energy high-voltage electrical, vehicle control communication, and intelligent comfort appliances. It focuses on ultra long durability, extreme working condition adaptation, and low-cost operation and maintenance. Relying on domain controllers, vehicle networking, and other technologies to achieve system iteration, it directly determines the core performance of the vehicle. In the future, it will deepen its cultivation in the direction of high voltage, integration, and intelligence, and help the bus industry transform and upgrade towards green intelligence.
Verification and certification of the entire vehicle and key components: In order to ensure the reliability and safety of key components and system components, in addition to simulation analysis during the design process as the first level verification at the design end, system joint debugging test benches are conducted for key components such as fuel cell systems, power batteries, drive motors, and vehicle control, and hub test platforms are used for economic, power, and vehicle performance testing. After the completion of the entire vehicle, comprehensive tests including shaping, reliability, durability, and calibration for high cold and high-altitude conditions are carried out.
